Description
Introduced in 1962 as one of their lineup of Jeeps under license from Willys/Jeep, the #350 Jeep Surrey was an instant hit…with girls!
Tonka had earlier dabbled in girls’ toys without much success but they hit pay dirt with this model. Inspired during an employee’s visit to Acapulco in 1961, the pink Surrey Jeep went on to become one of Tonka’s biggest sellers.
(No, Elvis had nothing to do with this toy and neither did his movies “Blue Hawaii” or “Fun in Acapulco”.)
A lot of these were made and most were played with.
This toy is all original and in superb condition.
There are some minor signs of wear to the front.
The open end of the box has three flaps, one with separation.
10″L x 6″H
Please note that my photos are up close and detailed. I attempt to provide an accurate representation of the toy as it truly is. If you would like a particular photo of any aspect, do not hesitate to ask.
