Description
Charles W. Doepke Company, Inc. of Rossmoyne, Ohio made toys from 1946 through 1959. Just thirteen years and they made some of the best toys ever made in the US.
While most of their toys were construction related, they did make two automobile replicas…a Jaguar XK 120 and what they called an MT which was clearly a replica of the MG TD.
The Jaguar XK 120 was and still is regarded as being a trend setter not only for its 120 mph top speed but for its beautiful lines.
The Doepke brothers did a superb job in replicating this now classic car just a few years after its introduction and it remains one of the finest examples of automotive modelling.
This is the original paint in near mint condition…exceptionally hard to find.
The body is die cast…the chassis is steel. All parts are original.
An exceptional example of a very fine collectible!
