Description
One of the most collectible of Hess toys, the plastic Pumper truck was made for two years, 1970 and 1971. This one is from 1970.
Made by the Louis Marx Company (one of the last toys to be made by them), the toy was apparently a replica of a fire truck used at the Hess refinery in NJ…most likely a LaFrance Series 1000.
The red light is powered by a battery and rotates. I have not tested.
The box shows some wear and discoloration.
The toy is in superb condition with minimal loss to the diamond plate…which was always subject to damage.
One of the original inserts is included.
Toy…11″ Long
Please note that my photos are up close and detailed…please enlarge. I attempt to provide an accurate representation of the toy as it truly is. If you would like a particular photo of any aspect, do not hesitate to ask
