With its original shipping box, this private label Tonka is from 1973.
“Super Thrust” front end was introduced in 1971 and stuck around on the Mini line until 1980.
Tonka made a lot of private label toys over the years. One such client company was Stanley Home Products.
Founded in 1931 by former Fuller Brush salesman Frank Stanley Beveridge, Stanley Home Products were the first to sell through home parties…a sales technique subsequently adopted by the founders of Tupperware and Mary Kay…both former employees.
The toy is in superb condition. Because these were private labelled, the packing was generic.
