Description
The Toy Guidance Council voted the Suburban Pumper “Outstanding Example Of American Toy Production” in 1956. Tonka designer Charles M. Groschen used a truck used by Mound Fire Department as inspiration for Tonka’s Pumper.
Electrostatically painted, these toys managed to withstand the rigors of childhood play throughout the years.
This toy is in magnificent condition. The deck is spotless…can’t remember the last time I saw a deck this nice.
Everything is original except for the two side hoses and one barbell light.
This is a beautiful example of American toymanship at its finest!
