Description
The Charles William Doepke Company, Inc. of Rossmoyne, Ohio was authorized by American LaFrance to produce a replica of their 700 Series Pumper in 1952.
Doepke produced this pumper through 1956 and it remains one of the finest examples of toys produced during the golden age of post WWII toy production.
It is very difficult to find one of these toys with all of the original parts and this is no exception.
The paint work shows some loss. One of the running boards is a replacement as is the rear hose. Note…the paint loss to the bottom of the water tank is standard for these toys…a result of the paint dipping process.
The tires are stamped Firestone and the steering linkage works like new.

Please note that my photos are up close and detailed…be sure to enlarge. I attempt to provide an accurate representation of the toy as it truly is. If you would like a particular photo of any aspect, do not hesitate to ask.
