Description
Tonka introduced their first wrecker in 1949 and it stuck around until the end…in some variation.
For collectors, the cabover versions remain one of the most sought after.
Tonka dropped this color after 1953 which is a shame in my opinion as I believe this to be one of their strongest colors. The color was brought back for the Ramp Hoist in 1976.
This 1953 version was the last of the COE truck designs. Made from heavy gauge steel, these toys were made to last.
Excellent condition for its age…there is some paint loss. The hook and chain are replacements as are the rear decals.
