Description
Tonka introduced the “Mighty” line in 1964 and it ran through 1983. In all, 44 different models were produced bearing the “Mighty” moniker.
The “Mighty Scraper” was first introduced in 1967. “Works like a real earth mover, designed for a boy” was how they described it. Based on the Caterpillar 631, the toy was obviously adapted for play. This toy was discontinued in 1976.
The name was changed to “Mighty Tonka Earth Mover” in 1974. The toy was discontinued in 1976.
Note that there is some paint loss to the right side. There is a touch up to the left top side above “Earth Mover”.
This is a BIG toy…27.25″ long…and weighs 7.25 lbs.
