Description

The Charles WM. Doepke MFG.Co. Inc., Rossmoyne, Ohio made some of the best American construction toys between 1946 and 1959. Using “real” equipment as their inspiration, they started with the Wooldridge Dump in 1946.

Mack Wooldridge died in 1962 at the age of 72. He was a contemporary of LeTourneau and other pioneers of earth moving equipment. By the time this toy was made, Wooldridge was no longer associated with the equipment that bore his name.

This is a very big toy. Built to 1:16 scale, it weighs 8.5 lbs and measures 26″ in length.

This version is the third, the last of which was produced in 1949. A must for any collector of construction equipment.

The lever to the side opens the bottom flaps to drop the load.

This toy has been superbly repainted.

Please note that my photos are up close and detailed. I attempt to provide an accurate representation of the toy as it truly is. If you would like a particular photo of any aspect, do not hesitate to ask.
