Description
The Toy Guidance Council voted the Suburban Pumper “Outstanding Example Of American Toy Production” in 1956. Tonka designer Charles M. Groschen used a truck used by Mound Fire Department as inspiration for Tonka’s Pumper. Electrostatically painted, these toys managed to withstand the rigors of childhood play throughout the years.
This toy is in excellent condition with paint loss to the bed. The hoses are replacements and the hydrant is from a later model.
